Albert Fraenkel founded the company on February 1, 1959 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. It bears the imprint of his character and philosophy. His dedication to taking care of customers, to fair play, to sharing the benefits with those who helped to produce them is part of Fraenkel's corporate culture. His willingness to listen, to learn, to meet everyone half-way or better is part of who we are.

Albert's commitment to growth has made Fraenkel Company a very unique supplier in the furniture industry. To do this, we must remain faithful to the principles that have guided our company since the beginning: We must treat our customers and our employees fairly. We must make a profit, just as our suppliers and customers must make a profit. We must share what we make with our employees and our community. We will continue to prosper to the same extent that we follow these guidelines.

Mission and Purpose

Established in 1959, the Fraenkel Company is a progressive, dynamic, employee-owned manufacturing distributor of household furniture and related products and services.

Our primary business objective remains constant – to grow prudently and profitably by anticipating and fulfilling market needs.

We conduct our business with high ethical standards. Always mindful of our responsibilities to our customers, our employees, our shareholders, and our community.

We provide an environment for all employees which stimulates and challenges each to achieve personal growth and business goals.

We share ownership with every employee encouraging each to become fully involved in our company and to take pride in a job well done.

We foster promotion from within remembering that our employees are our most important asset.

We believe in fair play.

We keep an open mind to new ideas. If we ever shut our minds, we should shut our doors.
